Robert Batlle and Ultimate Racing: A Legendary Alliance That Continues to Make History
Robert Batlle, one of the most iconic names in RC racing, is also the longest-serving driver on the Ultimate Racing team. He sums it up like this:
“More than 25 years working side by side, pushing the limits and achieving great victories like the 2012 World Championship, three European titles, and many other prestigious international races.”
And in 2025… we're raising the bar again!
We're introducing the new Ultimate R36 engine, the result of years of joint development between Robert and our technical team. An engine that represents the perfect balance: linear, easy to drive, and with fuel consumption that will leave you speechless.
According to Robert:
“I'm really proud of this project. The R36 is smooth, linear, and with the Supersonic 2141 exhaust, the feeling on the track is incredible. And the fuel consumption is insane!”
The ultimate combo?
The new R36 comes with the ceramic-coated Supersonic 2141 exhaust, the new FlowMax venturi, our renowned AIRMAX air filter, and a custom exhaust support, designed to extract maximum performance.
ENGINE
Manufactured by the prestigious O.S. Engines, the R36 is based on the square-stroke Speed B21, evolving from the previous MXS with key improvements: new intake and exhaust timings, a redesigned rear cover, and an optimized crankcase.
The cylinder head incorporates an O-ring for impeccable sealing and maximum linearity. And yes, the FlowMax venturi is also present, completing a truly elite package.
The result: a fluid power curve, explosive when you need it, and perfectly manageable. An engine that responds precisely at every turn, and with one of the best idle speeds on the market.
CYLINDER HEAD
The 8-fin cylinder head is the same one used in our current engines, but with an exclusive design that makes all the difference. With a low center of gravity and aerodynamics focused on direct spark plug cooling, it improves carburetion and idle stability, even in extreme conditions.
CARBURETOR
The O.S. 21 J3 carburetor has been redesigned with a high-pressure needle carrier with cylinder head-type fins to maintain a stable and lower temperature, improving performance and efficiency.
It includes details such as a red anodized bellows ring for a perfect seal and a new barrel puller with double studs, allowing adjustment of the angle without disassembling the engine.
For those seeking maximum tuning, this carburetor offers a level of fine adjustment worthy of the most demanding.
REAR COVER
CNC-machined from Swiss 7075-T6 aluminum, the new rear cover features larger tear ducts for greater fuel flow and power.
Its design allows for easy removal, even with the piston at its lowest point, without special tools or risk of damage.
CRANKSHAFT
DLC-treated and equipped with two tungsten weights, the crankshaft provides greater inertia, improving mid-range response and giving the engine a more progressive feel.
BEARINGS
At the rear, an original O.S. ceramic bearing. At the front, a double-cap Ultimate Racing steel bearing. A combination that guarantees smoothness and durability.
VENTURI
Includes two newly designed FlowMax venturis (6.0 and 6.5 mm): longer and with a wider base, they fit perfectly with the carburetor to optimize flow.
The result? More power with smaller venturis, which translates into more range without sacrificing performance.
LINER AND PISTON
Following the MXS foundation, we've redesigned the powertrain: new transfer cases, new timings... Everything designed to deliver more power without compromising fuel consumption.
The design of three intake and one exhaust transfers offers smooth, stable, and highly usable power delivery. Made of high-quality aluminum, they are built to last.
CRANKCASE
The crankcase has also been optimized to improve internal flow. Laser-engraved with Robert's number 36 and the limited-edition number, it is a piece that is as functional as it is exclusive.
EXHAUST
The new Supersonic 2141 provides a very linear response, a unique sound, and a ceramic treatment that not only improves aesthetics but also maintains performance for longer.
Ready to take your car to the next level?
With the Ultimate R36 + Supersonic 2141 combo, you have it all: power, reliability, style, and efficiency.
And most importantly: the DNA of a champion.
