The XRAY XB8'26 is the latest evolution of the most successful 1/8 off-road buggy platform in recent RC history. Since the original XB8, XRAY's continuous development has made this car a true benchmark in craftsmanship, durability and competition performance. The XB8'26 pushes that evolution further with significant technical updates across virtually every system of the car.
World and European Champion platform. At the 2025 European Championship, David Ronnefalk claimed the overall title and Lee Martin won the 40+ class. At the ROAR National Championship in the USA, Dakotah Phend secured the prestigious national title — confirming the XB8 as the winning choice at the highest level of international competition.
Made in Europe. Designed, developed and fully manufactured in-house at the XRAY factory in Slovakia, using the latest German and Swiss high-tech machinery and premium European materials. Every detail is crafted with the legendary XRAY attention to quality.
XB8'26 Key New Features
Chassis: 3mm Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum, hard-anodized for exceptional durability. Revised rear C-holder position improves traction, with a milled pocket under the clutch bell preventing chassis contact under full flex. The split radio box mounting configuration significantly improves left-to-right flex balance and overall traction.
Suspension holders: New lower mounting positions and updated geometry for increased traction and stability, especially in low- to medium-grip conditions.
4-shoe clutch: Smaller, lighter internal parts for more balanced clutch bell engagement compared to traditional 3-shoe designs. 14T clutch bell precision-machined from premium steel on a dedicated gear-cutting machine.
Graphite composite ball joints: All-new graphite-reinforced composite material significantly reduces friction and ensures smooth, free movement in all conditions — even on dusty or abrasive tracks. Used on rear camber links and anti-roll bars for improved precision and long-term durability.
Shocks: Shortened bodies and shafts to match new lowered mounting geometry. 3-in-1 shock caps with three build configurations — emulsion, rebound and zero rebound — to match any track condition and driving style.
Semi-split bulkheads: Fast diff access by removing only 4 screws with suspension fully installed. 3-position differential height adjustment via eccentric bushings, allowing quick setup adaptation for different grip levels and ride heights.
Steering blocks: Harder composite material for more responsive feel on bumpy tracks, with larger 8x16x5mm outer bearings for increased reliability. All-new 3-dot carbon steering plates update Ackermann geometry for improved stability and cornering speed.
Wheel hubs: +1mm offset as standard on all axles — the most popular choice for most track conditions. CNC-machined from Swiss 7075 T6 black-coated aluminum to minimise rotational weight.
Drive shafts: Manufactured from HUDY Spring Steel™, hardened with a proprietary process for unsurpassed lifespan and reliability.
Strike Wing: All-new ultra-low-profile design with enlarged side dams for maximum aerodynamic stability. New wing holder with enlarged contact area for a stronger, more secure wing attachment.
